Saint Elias

The day July 20, an important moment of the Christianity, it is celebrated the rising of the cross to the sky, with carrying fire of the saint, Great prophet Ilie Tesviteanul, which rules the thunders.
Saint Elias(Ilie) is also, for the Romanian people too, the patron and the protector of the mountains, of Lovistea country, but also of the energetic power men, aviators and of the road builders. About St. Ilie it is said that is the only one who has climbed to the sky not only with his soul but also with his body, being „raised to the sky in a flame whirl in a fire chariotaœ. Saint Ilie was the son of a priest from Arabian land, from Aaron people, and he had lived in Tesve fortress, placed beyond Jordanian land, a locality which brought him the name Ilie Tesviteanul. Saint Ilie had lived with more than 800 year before the Savior, on Ahab times, the Jewish king.
